On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, the QSAC’s Believe Gala took place at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. It was an evening filled with inspiration and celebration. The event’s focal point was honoring individuals and organizations who have made a significant difference in the lives of children and adults with autism.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the inaugural Beacon Award to Yvette Watts for her outstanding dedication and advocacy for individuals with autism. Her commitment to positively impacting the lives of people with autism and their families was truly deserving of this recognition, and her acceptance speech resonated deeply with all attendees.
In addition to honoring individuals, the Believe Gala also recognized the contributions of organizations that have shown exceptional support for the autism community. Enterprise Fleet Management and Webster Bank were acknowledged for their significant efforts in creating opportunities and supporting individuals with autism.
The event was a resounding success, bringing together members of the autism community, supporters, and advocates. The Believe Gala not only celebrated the achievements of the honorees but also served as a reminder of the importance of person-centered services for children and adults with autism and their families.
