As we celebrate Black History Month, it is important to recognize and honor the achievements of Black individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities and society. This year, the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is highlighting the accomplishments of Yvette Watts, the Board Chairperson of Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) and Executive Director of the New York Association of Emerging and Multicultural Providers (NYAEMP).
OPWDD is recognizing Yvette Watts for her outstanding leadership and advocacy in the disability community. She has been a tireless advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and has worked to ensure that they have access to the resources and support they need to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Yvette is a trailblazer and an inspiration to all of us. Her dedication to creating a more inclusive society and her commitment to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities is truly remarkable. We are grateful for her leadership and advocacy, and we are honored to have her profiled as a part of the OPWDD’s celebration of Black History Month.
