QSAC will participate in the Escape New York bike ride in an effort to raise funds for our programs. The ride starts and ends in Manhattan with scenic routes through Bergen and Rockland Counties.

Duration: 50, 62, 100 miles
All riders must pay their registration fee directly with Escape New York. The fundraising is completely separate from Escape New York – you create your own fundraising page and ask friends and family to support QSAC and autism.
How to sign up:
- Register on Active.com for the Escape New York event ($35 entry fee before Sept 12, 2009).
- Register on Firstgiving.com for the Escape New York event to bike with the QSAC cycling team. Simply register for this event (please do not create your own team).
- Start fundraising!
If you cannot participate, please consider making a donation to the event:

Q: I can’t ride. Can I donate to the QSAC Team?
A: You can make a general donation to the QSAC Team by clicking on the donate button above.
Q: I don't have a bike but want to ride.
A: You can rent one through your local bike shops.
Q: Can I do off-line fundraising?
A: We encourage you to use the quick and convenient on-line fundraising platform. But if that is not possible and/or you prefer off-line fundraising, please download our pledge form and sample letter for distribution.
Q: How should checks be handled?
A: Please make the checks payable to QSAC (with rider's name in the memo section if applicable), and mail to: "QSAC, Inc. FR Dept., 253 West 35th Street, 16th Fl. New York, New York, 10001". You can add the amount as offline donation on your fundraising page. If you receive cash donations, please make sure you provide a complete mailing address so we can thank the donor directly with a tax letter.
Q: Can you help me with fundraising ideas?
A: Below are few suggestions:
- Set a goal to encourage donors to help you reach it.
- Add your Personal Fundraising Page to your Facebook profile (please contact jmoran@qsac.com if you need help).
- Include the link to your Fundraising Page in your email signature, and Facebook status.
- Don’t be shy. Most people don’t give because they are not asked.
